The goal was to create a Dashboard design fro the hedge fund managers that would ease them into making the data driven decisions and allows them to be in the contact with other managers as well as cummunity.
I like creating design which are more data driven and have the best usability.This project involved the complete design of an online tool used by the hedge fund managers and traders for the Deshaw India. The goal was to create a digital experience which will help the different users alike to help them make strategic decisions with surety and precision.
Firstly, during the understanding phase, I started with the Affinity clustering which will show me how different businesses were solving this problem. I began to break down the problem into small parts and made containers to put same problems and pain points in to single container. After Defining the problems competitive analysis was initiated which helped to gain better understandings. For designing my own first dashboard.
I choose bento design system which were easy to distinguish individually. heatmap voting was the next step in this process to get the balanced visibility and choose the hierarchy in the dashboard due the crucial data. Afterwards I wanted to divide the parameters for the usability and to fit all these containers I took the help of kano matrix to optimize my design and advanced to the prototype stage.
These early design stages are my personal favorite .It's when you really get to flex those creativity and problem solving muscles. Based on our early discussions and research , we knew this project needed to focus specifically on flexibility and customization that would serve a wide range of needs. My personal mission at hand was to conceptualize the users' journey through ''i know what i need'' -> ''show it to me in the way i want" -> "let me get front of the right people." My ideation process varies from project to project, but typically involves taking notes, mind maps , story boards and rough sketches.
in just about the step along the way through my design process I am constantly looking for inspiration and digging in to how others may have solved the similar problems. Ideally I'm getting hands on with these products, which can be tough when you're talking about enterprise software. Google Images and dribble searches always come in handy. This went a long way how they were handling the data visualization and dashboards ,and thus how users may already expect to perform some of the tasks they'll be doing with our softwares .
